HENNA CLASS EXPERIENCE
Hello loves! April Love Pro Makeup Academy recently hosted a Hennah Class taught by the fabulous Kelly Jurado. I had the pleasure of attending this class, and am so excited to share my Henna Class Experience with you all! If you’ve seen Kelly’s Instagram, then you know she’s a bright character with an amazing spirit. She made me feel so welcome in her class. She really balanced professionalism, education, and fun. Kelly first taught the meaning behind the most common symbols in Hennah Tattoos. She then did a demo of her technique on a live model. After demonstrating her brush control, artistic side, and sheer talent, she encouraged us to practice sketching some of the henna symbols.
Henna Class Experience
I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend this class. By encouraging the class to sketch, Kelly opened us to other artistic mediums. Makeup artists usually use pigment on skin. So to sketch on paper allowed us to practice control of our strokes in a different way. Experimenting with different mediums of arts makes for a stronger, more well rounded artist. It really helped me to exercise my more artistic side. And I’m sure the other students would agree.
Kelly is such an encouraging instructor. I’m excited to follow her guidance in the Mastery Course, and in the advanced Henna Class to come.
There were also special guests at the Henna Class. Students had the opportunity to meet and greet with the special guests as we practiced Hennah on ourselves. Eric Fox, from Face Off, and the academy’s Special FX instructor, introduced himself and observed student work. Additionally, the owner of Saucebox Cosmetics visited our class. She announced an upcoming class hosted by the academy itself! She will be here for a meet and greet, Q&A, and to provide real industry tips on how to market your MUA skills. Additionally, she will be providing samples, and special discounts!
Over all, my Henna Class Experience was inspiring and educational. I’m so excited for more classes at April Love Pro Makeup Academy, because after each class I feel like I grow so much as an artist.
